I thought I’d share my uncensored story, the good and bad of everything I tried, what didn’t work and finally the one beat making software program that did…
I’m a young guy, in the few short years of my life, I have found what I like and what I don’t like; and I like beat making software.
But before I can tell you about it, you’ve got to understand where I come from.
Walking through the halls of junior high and high school, I was mentally entertaining myself with music beats played out in my mind.
To keep myself occupied, I would make up hip hop beats and instrumental rap beats as I walked from one class to another.
What I didn’t know at that young age is that there would someday be beat making software that would help me (and tons of other people) learn how to make beats that are jammin and poundin and get people on the floor.
So basically all I knew was that I wanted to make rap beats. In fact, that’s exactly what I was doing! I just didn’t know how far I would be able to take it. As I moved through the ranks of high school, I was whipped into shape, so to speak.
I was told that the only way to make anything of myself was to head to college and study something I had basically no interest in.
If only there was beat making software back then, who knows how much sooner I would have gotten started on my path to greatness.
Now I’m not saying that you should necessarily follow in my direct footsteps. If college is part of your journey, then more power to you.
I’m just letting you in on my personal path for information’s sake…or entertainment’s sake – you can decide which. So in college, I met some guys who turned me on to beat making software.
They said “you can make your own beats, man! In fact, you should make your own beats!” Well, I couldn’t agree more, I told them.
The issue wasn’t that I didn’t want to make my own music; it was that I was a struggling college student with no job and I just plain couldn’t invest in expensive beat making software at the time.
So I started wishing upon a star that I would come across some free beat making software sometime soon.
Don’t ever let anyone tell you that wishes don’t come true. I’m just sayin’. If you keep on wishing, you’ll get what you’re after one way or another.
